Very helpful and detailed instructions, including socket sizes!!! Was able to install new replacement H7 AGM battery in my daughter's 2015 Mini Cooper and everything went smoothly.  It looks pretty complicated but the video is very clear and well paced and when you disassemble the parts everything makes sense and in fact is very well engineered.
Used a battery keeper to maintain power to the vehicle so as not to disrupt programming. Re-used the air vent plug (back) and adapter (front) from the old battery to the new for the vent tube. Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) is a bit tricky - white clip underneath needs to be pulled out a couple of mm with small flat blade screwdriver to unlock and then plug pulls off easily - When reattaching insert plug and push white clip back in to lock. Daughter will take Mini in to her local Mini guy next week to update the computer, but car is running great for now. Thanks Cooper & Bimmer Experts!!!

It's a pleasure watching a pro at work. It took me nearly four hours to do this same swap on my wife's 2017 Countryman S, but I got 'er done. There's a long side to side strut/bar not in your video that had to be completely removed. The car had sat in the driveway dead after the dealer didn't have the battery in stock and couldn't get one. A dealer in another state told me that all I needed was a H7-AGM 80AH 800CCW battery, available at most auto parts stores. So it proved. My local dealer refused to install it, citing liability concerns, so I did it myself. It's a Diehard from Advance Auto Parts. They had it in stock. A sticker on the case showed that the battery had been manufactured the previous month, so I know I didn't get a "stale" battery. Thanks!

A very good and informative video, well done for being clear and concise… But it’s absolutely crazy that you have to dismantle this many parts just to change a car battery! It takes just five minutes to take out and replace a battery on a 2012 Ford Fiesta, open the bonnet/hood, undo the battery clamp and the terminal screws and remove it. Replace with the new battery and you’re done. And someone has proudly commented that it took “just” two hours to do on the Mini!!! And this is progress? Madness… It’s getting to the point that they just want you to take it into the shop to carry out what used to be the most simplest of tasks…

This was great!  The battery in my girlfriend's 2021 Countryman died. I had a 2009 coupe and replacing the battery was a whole lot simpler. I would have spent half the day figuring out how the battery in this one came out. If I ever meet you in person, the beer is on me.

After watching this video and a trip to the auto parts store for a $200 battery, I was on my way about 90 minutes later. Thanks for the clarity and for cutting to the chase. Definitely appreciated the detail you showed in taking off all the surrounding hardware so you can get access to the battery. Now if only my scan tool could tell the computer I have a new battery...
