Brazing Steel with a Propane Torch - Repairing a Mounting Bracket

Workers replacing a fascia board smashed the mounting bracket for a sun shield (they are the same guys that smashed the main water valve that I repaired in my ProPress video and did a poor job with the stucco). I was able to straighten out the bracket but there was a crack on it. Thankfully, this was easy to repair by brazing it.

I have made several attempts to brazing steel with a propane torch, with poor results. Your short video made my day and my project succeeded.
Thanks so much!

I didn't think propane torches could get hot enough for bronze. Mine don't... Ever!
Time to upgrade. 👍

You think it's showing enough to make a RC trailer with it as the welds

Hi, thank you for the video. I was wondering if I could ask a question. I have a 'fancy' expensive office gaming chair that has failed on a weld for the seat base (where the base bolts to the seat). The metal component looks very similar to the piece you worked on here. It looks as though the weld has failed. I was hoping to be able to braze the component using MAP gas. What do think?

How’s the Chicago electric 80 amp welder
holding up? Would you still recommend it as budget welder?

I am in the process of repairing my steel garden gate door made of 1.5 inch 16 gauge steel square tubing.

The post that holds the swing door has rotted at the bottom. I cut the rotten area out and cleaned it up. I do not have traditional welding skills nor do i have the money to invest in such equipment. However i do own a bernzomatic propane torch.

Will brazing the metal post together a good candidate for my application??
