Silver Braze Brass to Stainless Steel Tubing with SSF-6 56% Silver Solder and a Propane Torch

Показать описание
Flux-coated SSF-6 is 56% silver content and flows at 1150°F. We are silver soldering stainless steel to brass with a propane torch. When using propane, use a trigger start or pushbutton start torch tip. The old brass tips DO NOT provide adequate heat. This rod flows well on chrome-moly, copper, stainless, brass, steel, cast iron, bronze, cast steel, Damascus steel, and more. On heavy sections or thicker parts, use oxyacetylene as the SSF-6 is a brazing rod. When brazing, broadly heat around the joint, so the adjacent metal doesn't draw heat away from the work area. We are looking for the metals to turn to a dull red for optimum flow.
