The fight against scams is a whole-of-society one, with Government working with companies to keep Singaporeans safe. For instance, the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) will be publishing a new recommended Safe App Standard to help app developers reduce risks for in-app transactions. Likewise, IMDA’s Advisory Guidelines for telcos aim to protect vulnerable end-users from scams, while A*STAR’s upcoming Centre for Advanced Technologies in Online Safety (CATOS) will bring together industry partners to build capabilities for a safer Internet.

Minister for Communications and Information, Josephine Teo, was speaking in Parliament on 10 Jan 2024.
