My favorite part of the video is the 5 mins and 24 seconds of silent darkness at the end.

Did you all know that you can use the dremel engraver with a hammer bit to set jewellery? So far I've made a needle burnisher, a brass bezel pusher and a normal anvil. So far I've set opals, topaz, turquoise and bezels of various thicknesses. For thicker bezels you need to bevel the edge and put it on the mad barsteward setting. Just don't hit the stone!! Also great for texturing silver too!

If you try to engrave through the numbered template/stencil, you'll destroy it. Use the template/stencil and a pencil to write your word/name, then use the engraver ✏

From experience, I found that the stencil is draw your letters with a marker first and then follow with the engraver. You could also try trimming the last five and a half minutes of dead video of the end. The only thin I learnt from this video was that the engraving bits have common diameter shanks.

I have one. They're *LOUD*
Kind of annoying when you want to relax and zone out on a project.
I have honeywell ear protection. Regular ear plugs work too though

yeah, what the fella below my comment said. sure the vibration of the engraver is gonna make the rotary tool bit you used make a mark, as they are usually a hardened steel or diamond abrasive coated. but you need various shapes of carbide steel or tool steel engraving tips, more similar to what you started with. . my Dad started me out with one of those electric engravers and a sheet of glass tracing out a wildlife scene. Now I use my rotary tools almost daily.

Thanks for sharing this video. I bought exactly the same tool about 8 months ago. Due to other obligations I finally had time to try it out only 2 months ago.
It's a pity I didn't watch this video before. I'm quite disappointed in the tool.
It is very loud. I did not manage to put the tip in the template. The characters in the template are to small. My hands are not stable enough to make free handed
letters or numbers. I'll need a lot of practising for that. But I'll try again, thanks to your video.

Another use of this Engraver is to clean up the carbon deposit of push button tactile switches. Pour some 100% alcohol and tap the switch with the vibrating engraver. It will remove the carbon dirt from the surface inside.

If you cant get the tip in initially. It may need to be pushed down somewhat forcefully
