Reason: increase in toughness of paper, increase in fee, less opportunities for core branches in mtech placements. so most of candidates are moving towards IT sector irrespective of branch so that candidate gets settled easily in 3-4 yrs instead wasting these years for gate.

Pursuing a Mtech and dealing with the pressure in India is very tough compared to IT jobs or flying to a foreign country for masters. That's why this trend! It's simple.. I am seeing it in front of my eyes.

My suggestion is, even if you don't get admission in a good college, still choose CSE in whatever college you get...

Well data is shocking and beneficial for those who just want to clear the cutoff The student who are serious are sitting in that 10k line, were sitting in 2022 and will sit in coming exams too. So irrespective of no of candidates, competency will still be high.

I am an iit kgp mtech student and during our orientation the director advised us to learn about AI. Several courses are introduced for us to learn about AI. I have studied Machine learning and now studying Statistics for ML and AI. I think the curriculum is updated according to the latest requirements by the industry. I am in AGFE department.

reason behind it, people are finding numerous opportunities of earning, due to Data and IT revolution, admission are dropping in core branches, and finding job in It industry is not a big deal, from colleges offcampus or from any institutes

Engineering means, CSE, IT The End.
The majority of the GATE Aspirants are from Tier-3 colleges.
And when we ask why core branch graduates do not get jobs in their streams, we are told that we don't learn the skills which the current industry wants. Now I know what those skills are i.e. Software engineer, web developer, Blockchain engineer and many more which are not included in the conventional curriculum.
That is why our education system is termed as age old.

I am doing my masters from IIT bbs in the branch of cse and we have avg package this year of 24Lpa. It depends on coding skills and project. Although I agree there are some companies which come for be/btech but mtech students also get many opportunities.

Hi sir.... Sharing my experience.... Myself Chirag Aggarwal IIT Ropar Civil pass out batch of 2K19.... I cleared both GATE and ESE in 2020 but the result has nothing to do with job.... I didn't get even a single call till now... Now I am an entrepreneur and recruiting many fresh graduate engineers... The scope through GATE is damn minor...So now almost 70% of the engineering graduates are shifting towards abroad for their better future therefore creating a lacking of skill men behind.... Any how all the best to each and every aspirant...

all my frnds irrespective of branches went to software jobs, ssc coaching, upsc coaching, bank exam coaching... Gate ??? only two or three guys went to it...
