Motorola DROID X2 Review

PhoneArena reviews the Motorola DROID X2. The Motorola DROID X2 MB870 is ready to hopefully stem the onslaught of competition and keep itself as a vigilant figure on Verizon's lineup. Priced at $199.99 with a 2-year contract, its pricing is indeed fitting for a high-end non 4G LTE smartphone, but does it still have the allure that embodied the original? Or will it simply be left behind the dust in favor of Verizon's 4G LTE equipped smartphones?...

It's 2020, and I've never felt a phone as nice as the X2. The cold brushed gun metal all around is so high quality.
I like the camera hump on top because it would stop the phone from slipping out of my hand, and it is flush with the camera so nothing gets easily cracked.
I miss physical buttons... To this very day I wonder why they are gone...

This was my first smartphone... I'm typing this in 2021 on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. It's crazy to think how far technology has come, I kind of miss the simplicity tbh...

I had this phone and thought it had a big screen at the time it felt good in the hand too. Now 4.3inch is very very small

I really miss the home buttons, the HDMI output, easy replace battery!!! and all metal, I used to have it with VERIZON and I used it as a hotspot for the whole house ack then. It was only 3g but It downloaded faster than my current Pixel 5g

This is the best smartphone I've ever owned. I've owned for Motorola since then three Samsungs and two iPhones and nothing matches the hardcore reliability of this phone. I just bought an iPhone x and it's such a piece of crap I'm going to buy a used one of these on eBay and be happy as a clam.

I completely agree, I have this phone currently and the only issues I have are the ones your mention. The worse though would have to be the ram.

Can't believe it has the same thickness, same camera, doesn't have Gingerbread, and is not a LTE device. Of course this was done so you will still have to buy phones like the Thunderbolt and Charge. This is a great reason to buy off contract phones only.

@Beast- if it has a dedicated camera button is the droid x. The Droid X2 has No camera button.

I would have used that thin part of the phone to put in a huge battery. How cool would that be!
