My hope for Halo season 2 is that the Chief wakes up from cryosleep aboard the Pillar of Autumn and it turns out that all the events of Season 1 were a cryosleep induced fever dream. Then reach begins to fall and we have some showrunners that give a damn about the source material.

When you get an actor to play a character who never shows his face in the game, hire an actor whose ego can handle that (like Karl Urban in Dredd) - don't have him take his helmet off for more screen time than he wears it and revise the Cortana chip so it goes in him rather than into his armour.

Also, Dr Halsey comes off like a bad guy whereas she's concerned the human race won't survive it's expansion into outer space and is willing to whatever she has to in order to defend and prepare them.

And in the game they don't have a map to Halo, they stumble upon it tracking Covenant ships in the aftermath of the Fall of Reach and a space battle.

Honestly how badly they fumbled 20 years of games, books, fan lore, comics, TV advert campaigns the director needs removed from the franchised and this be put into the hands of someone whos an actual fan. The silver timeline is terrible to watch and a waste of time.

They easily have 8+ seasons of content (10 episodes per season) using existing lore but they just couldn't help themselves and had to make it "there own".
