The common walnut has a number of claimed health benefits including being a “brain food”. We take a look at this and more. Regardless, an English Walnut tree is beautiful, remarkable, long lived, and produces a huge amount of food over its life cycle.

Black Walnuts are the healthiest. If you can get your hands on local, self-cracked black walnuts, then your health will reach new levels. The mineral content is through the roof.

You mentioned Ketogenic diet! Ketogenic diet doesn't in anyway say that eating fat makes you fat, it is actually the total opposite! That's the reason why keto diet macro contains at least 70% fat. And by the way, walnuts are keto friendly.

Maybe they call it walnut because it's hard like a wall! Or maybe because the tree grows as big as ancient walls!

Let me tell you now my own story about regarding walnuts

23 years ago my cholesterol was high and my blood pressure Thanks to my GP Doctor at that time, who was a Nutrizionist too, I started to eat 6 cracked walnuts every day ( 6 times a week) at lunch finishing with an apple too ....and two garlic softgel 4500mg daily ...

Here I am now at 78 never been hospitalized so far ( keep the finger all blood test result levels are ok (cholesterol and .glycemia too)... To eat walnuts every days is a very good and healthy habit, than you can add and drink 2/3 espresso coffees ( high in antioxidants and booster of physical activity) )in the morning from 8 to and in the afternoon an herbal tea (infusion) of Ginger (strong ally of the stomach and digestion) and Turmeric (great purifying action with extraordinary antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties)..

As I woke up in the morning I drink 2 glasses of spring water while the stomach is still empty. to clean the kidneys from the toxins of the night ..A healthy way to start the day too ....

Finally walnuts are considered a superfood for your brain (same shape once you have cracked them), rich in Omega 3 fatty acids (I still remember things very well , I'm not suffeing r with senile dementia (Alzhaimer's desease) and they are healthy to for your heart too... considered a superfood and natural supplement against heart with the Mediterranean Diet (Extra virgin olive oil, tomato, vegetables, seasonal fruits etc etc)...and a moderate physical
