The problem is by the time they expand the library to games players care about the hype will be dead. They need to open up the entire library ASAP if they want players to care and be potential customers. For me being able to play my library of games I own is most important so once those games become available then maybe I’ll care but having to wait too long is a turn off

Ngl if I don’t need a ps5 I might actually get a portal. That’s the whole point of a handheld. It can function on its own. The streaming necessity is still a huge letdown

Hate to break it everyone but the clue was in what they said ‘select titles’ sadly we don’t have the tech and prob won’t for atleast another 5 years to cloud stream PS5 games it will most likely be the ps3 games you can already cloud stream on psn and if anyone has tried it even today it barely works and you need seriously fast connection. Not and that’s ps3 games not a hope in hell you will be able to cloud stream ps5 games.

I keep seeing people saying you can only play single player games. That's disappointing. For it to be "cloud" based AND reqquire the top of the line subscription but can't play online games is a bummer. But nevertheless, i'm excited for the future of the portal. PlayStation heard our disappointment, they're making changes. Don't give in just yet. Make them work for your hard earned dollar. They want our money? Make it at least 75-80% capable of what people want. Give us our full library ON DEVICE and let us use it like an actual handheld. Let the kids on the school bus in the morning get their gaming in like we did on the PSP.

I would be a customer of playstation plus, but final fantasy rebirth isn't on it x.x. Seems like it's gonna be out on pc before it shows up on plus and at that point who cares? Will just stream the pc version.

Lol you have to have the playstation plus premium membership or it will not work for 1 month subscription $17.99 /3 months subscription $49.99 / 12 months subscription $159.99 😅😅😅😅😅😅 and you are limited to what you can play too lol me personally I would get a ps5 as well

Your title is misleading, you do need a ps5 if you buy a new portal.... To get past the initial setup you MUST HAVE A PS5!
