National security analyst Hal Kempfer joins LiveNOW's Austin Westfall to examine some new details about the digital footprint of Thomas Crooks, the man who opened fire at former President Trump's Butler, Pennsylvania rally over the weekend.

According to Fox, key senators were told in a Wednesday briefing with the FBI and Secret Service that Crooks wrote on a gaming platform called "Steam", “July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds.” When investigators reviewed the laptop, they found a few searches in July of: "Trump," "Biden," "when is DNC convention," and "July 13 Trump rally." Investigators have found no evidence of a particular ideology. It was determined that Crooks also had two phones.

When I get in trouble I demand the right to thoroughly investigate myself and report my findings.

37 people: "there's a guy with a rifle on that roof"
Secret Service: "shut up"

The head of the Secret Service needs to stand down from her position, and Mayorkas needs to be charged.

He searched “how dumb is the secret service” and the answer was “extremely dumb”

So the secret service will be investigating itself. Sounds about right.

I'm from Butler, PA. I know dozens of people that were there. Spectators were pointing directly at him, WHILE looking at officers &Secret Service, telling them "He's right there. He has a gun. Aren't you going to do something about the guy scaling the building with a gun?" Plus, the rooftop he was on was literally the only building in the area, the ONLY one! There is no reason that the nearest roof should not be covered by secret service... We're every day folks &this is common sense to us. Secret Service does this for a living. There is no way that wasn't intentional neglect. It's got nothing to do with a command issue.

The family of the victims in the crowd need to sue the secret service for their willful incompetence that lead to the death and injuries.

Not to mention Unpaid citizen attendees filmed and noticed him and they alerted local police about it 2 minutes before the incident. Still nothing was done correctly.

Why the hell did they let Trump go on stage if there was a threat

Secret Service never should have allowed Trump to go on stage until they had the suspicious person detained.

Can we mention the innocent man in the stands that was killed during the rally as a result of this

this is so obvious, it was allowed to happen.

Too many failures to be a coincidence.

How was there no one on top of that building. They meant to let it happen. 18 year old soldiers would have more common sense than the secret service. This is ridiculous.

It's not just a failed assassination attempt, a man died from a massive failure

DHS is investigating itself-expect nobody to be held accountable.

Secret service allowed it to happen, and then quickly eliminated the shooter.

Trying to blame this on Iran is ridiculous. This was our own government.

So nice of the FBI to let us know what was on one of their spare unused laptops.

The familiar pattern of dribbling information out a little at a time indicates that nobody is going to be held accountable.
