Other Storage can take up hundreds of GB of your Mac storage. Deleting all of that Data is not really obvious, but in this video I'll show you exactly that! Please make sure to give me your feedback down bellow!

I could literally cry after going through each step. I haven’t had this much space on my Mac since I took it out the box years ago. Very informative, thank you so much!

I cannot explain how long I’ve been trying to do this and downloading so many different softwares to “scan and remove them” and I’ve literally searched for a year now of ways to do this. This was SO helpful. Thank you for making this. Couldn’t have done it without you

Unbelievably helpful. Have not been able to install the latest mac operating system because of this issue and this video finally helped me sort it. Concise and for once, everything you showed I encountered. Usually, somewhere along the line in these videos, parts will be skipped and/or something being shown is different to what is being experienced. Thanks again!

Not going to lie. Formatting my hard drive isn't quite the fix I was hoping for, but this definitely did the trick. Thanks for the video. I finally have enough hard drive space to install Monterey!

⚠ *UPDATE* : When rebooting your Mac, simultaneously hold down these keys: Apple(Command) + Option + R (ie not just Apple/Command + R) because "command+R" is outdated, and you will be stuck with a "The Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted" message. May the Lord Jesus bless ya'll 🙏🏾

Thank you SO much! I’ve rebooted and factory reset my Mac countless times today trying to get rid of the ‘other’ useless storage by watching other YouTube videos and none of them worked. This completely fixed this problem and the ‘other’ is only taking up a few GBs of storage. Thank you!

Much appreciated! I only have 128 gigs of storage on my Mac Air, so having 70 gigs of system and other was really limiting my capabilities 😅 Now I can actually do stuff again

It worked but I was one of the "lucky" ones to receive the "recovery server could not be contacted" error message. There are a few reasons it could happen when you try and reinstall but the two most common were Apple basically not having the bandwidth to allow you to load the OS at that time, so you need to just keep trying, or the date and time could be wrong and you need to go into the Terminal window to correct it. This took some time and intuition. Nevertheless, after several attempts it finally connected. It's scary if you don't know what's going on, but thankfully I also had a Time Machine update ready to go, just in case...Thanks.

You’re a LEGEND - I went through many videos and Mac cleaners to help me do this - this worked!!! I was terrified of something going wrong but did it step by step and instead of now having 80gb of other storage, I have ZERO! I essentially have a new computer. Will be saving this not if but when, I need this in future thank you again!!!!

The best tutorial I found. My “other” files was taking me 94GB of storage 🤬🤬

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I’ve been struggling for the past year and a half trying to figure out how to clear up space. I had over 60 gigs taken up and I couldn’t even update my computer or install apps I needed for my classes. Even when I did free up enough space for the update it still said I needed more space. I’ve tried so many “disk cleaner” apps and they all just got rid of some files that barely cleared any actual space. I recently just bought a hard drive not realizing that I couldn’t transfer apps over and still be able to use them. I cannot thank you enough for this dude.

Saved a lot of hassle and time for me. Other storage was taking 450gb out of 500gb in my Mac Pro. Decided to factory reset, and bought a large external drive but I did not want to back up on time machine because I suspected it would copy every junk that were filling my Mac storage and put it back when I restored. But I was not sure about any alternative way of doing this. Your video was just what I needed at this time. Very simple and easy to follow instructions with clear explanations. Thank you for making this video.
