WOW! This experience is easily one of my all time favorites I've had the privilege of filming! I can't believe I've caught wandering spiders in two separate countries in the same year! What a dream! Florida wandering spiders have been at the top of my list to capture in the wild and I'm ecstatic to have finally found one! Were you expecting a wandering spider to be so well behaved?

Very nice. I wander in the central Fl woods myself. They are beautiful. As usual, your videos are great!

The wandering spiders are the creepiest spiders. Encountered a massive wolf spider the other day and as soon as I saw, they gave me full body shivers. It was outside, so I left it alone.

Jack, love your impish comic approach towards the series. Sure, you can be serious and academic about your biological knowledge, but those comedic vignettes are appreciated.

I’m happy to see such a high quality video about this species, they get so little recognition but I find the US wandering spiders very interesting. As always there was a ton of great info and amazing shots in here, I was impressed with your macros on that guy. I hope this one gets the traffic it deserves!

Wolf spiders and Wandering Spiders are some beautiful spiders. The Sydney Funnel Web and Six Eyed Sand Spider are still favorites.

The range of _Ctenus captiosus_ is expanding. They’ve been documented in Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. So far, I have found three mature males in South Carolina; all had wandered into my bathroom in late spring.

They are skittish and move quickly, but I haven’t observed any hint of aggression. When disturbed, they try to get away.

Hahahaha. I’m watching on my phone screen. I wish I knew more people that are openly terrified of spiders just to show them on a bigger screen. The details on these creatures are so beautiful.
