I'd still have it checked before that compressor bites the dust. If it's not already on its way out

The 1st stage compressor looks to be overcharge by the amount of sweat around the body of the compressor. Check your running Load amps when it loads and unloads, compare them to the nameplate compressor amps. Also check your super heat and subcool to see if the TXV are feeding the proper amount of refrigerant in to the evaporator.

Yes, the sound you hear is the compressor loading and unloading, but it shouldn't sound that loud.
I'm guessing the TXVS failed or are failing and are feeding to much refrigerant in to evaporator and your liquid flooding the compressor.

That compressor is short cycling I have worked on Aeons a long time ago be smart to put a set of gauges on that circuit is this a fresh air unit does it have DDC controls it's so you can see everything that is doing they're complicated and a pain in the ass the issue is getting familiar with that piece of equipment a lot of mechanics want to ram and jam it and get the hell out of there all units have a sequence of operation that is what you need to know what is the sequence at startup and while the unit is running you said something about the compressor unloading scroll compressor don't have an unloader on them semi hermetic compressor do
