My Response to John Piper, Tim Keller & Big Eva | Ep 508

Today we start by discussing some of the problems with "Big Eva," the large industry at work within evangelicalism. While the people at the top of these institutions remain true to some biblical beliefs, like the biblical definition of gender, they have strayed into the trap of social justice on other issues like systemic racism. This was demonstrated after Francis Collins resigned from his position as head of the NIH. Although Collins identifies as a Christian, he oversaw horrific experiments involving stem cells from babies from terminated pregnancies, something no Christian should support. Despite this, many figures in Big Eva praised Collins and his work, including David French, Tim Keller, and Russell Moore. Then, we talk about a new article from John Piper about vaccines. Piper eventually comes to the correct conclusion that the COVID vaccine is a matter of Christian liberty, but along the way he seems to reveal his true thoughts that everyone should be vaccinated.

The use of aborted babies is literally gut wrenching. Makes me sick. That study said 18-20 weeks. My son, who we adopted through the foster system, was born at 24 weeks. He is a happy, healthy 5 year old. So many Christians around me would have counseled his birth mom that it was ok in her situation to get an abortion. He very easily could have ended up as grafted tissue. Praise the Lord, God willing, he will be grafted into the family of Christ…ADOPTED as an heir ❤️🙌🏻

I love and am so thankful for Piper. For years, his wisdom and thoughtfulness have been encouraging to me in my walk with the Lord. I'm disappointed with his article but I am not very surprised. Without wanting to spend too much time on this comment, my husband and I think we're noticing a (sort-of) trend with older Christians. Maybe you are too?! Older Christians seem to trust the media more, trust the data that's published by NYT or WP or whatever and may not know how to look at it critically to see how the data they choose to publish is actually spin, or perhaps don't have the time to delve into the data in great detail. That said, it's very easy to look at the raw data over the last two years and notice trends in case and death rates and link that to seasonal patterns and it's also pretty easy to vaguely pinpoint when vaccinations began and see whether that made a difference in case/death rates. And it's also simple to look at the same data for other countries. Finally, as I get older, I see how important two things are as a believer: just wait and speak less. I wish Piper had continued to stay relatively silent on this issue. And for those of us who can just WAIT IT OUT, we will really get the satisfaction of gaining more clarity and of course, seeing how the vaccines truly affect us.

In response to the charts that don't seem to make sense, this is because people are occupying hospitals that ARE "vaccinated" and they are having adverse reactions. These patients are classified as "unvaccinated" because they have had a shot or shots within 14 days. This is how they are manipulating the numbers and now calling it a "pandemic of the unvaccinated". People who have adverse reactions will have them inside a 2 week period. Most within a 1 week period but the excuse the medical overlords use is that the vaccines have not been in the system long enough to be effective, therefore, they are treated as unvaccinated.
Their lies are very effective to maintain fear and division. Divide and conquer, this is the road map for the "great reset".

When people like Allie are now talking about Big Eva, that's when you realize there truly is a growing divide between the 'elite' shepherds and flock. If only Todd Friel had the courage to actually say something.

Just because you call yourself a Christian doesn’t make you one. You will know them by their fruit. The Bible is the Word of God and is our anchor and truth on all things for life. It really makes me sad. We should mourn over sin.

Thanks for pointing out Piper’s inconsistencies and confusion. I was so confused by his article. He seems to affirm individual Christian liberty in considering all the factors for and against vaccinating, but then he concludes that anyone who decides against doing it is a complete idiot. He completely ignores the reality that we’re being pressured into getting the vaccine no matter what our conscience or reason tells us, or else we lose our jobs and freedoms. As someone who has recovered from COVID, it makes zero sense to vaccinate. I am not an idiot for making this choice, yet my freedom to make this choice is being threatened, not those who choose to vaccinate.

I am still confused at how we can just evaluate the short term benefits of the vaccine and say it doesn’t matter the long term effects. Which we don’t know. How do we know that the long term effects are not loving our neighbor…
