I just bought 1 and found it to be defective. The ready light illuminates as soon as the button is pressed. It won't find anything, except its way back to Lowes for a refund.

For those who dont think it works, its likely because you're using an old battery.
You NEED a fresh battery from the store.

My Zircon L40 is absolute garbage. Tested it where a known stud was and don't get any results.

Absolute garbage. Doesn't detect anything on my walls or ceilings. Most likely cheap Chinese parts... Save your money and get something better! So aggravated right now

Bought this tonight and tried 4 FRESH/NEW 9v batteries. Wouldn’t even turn on to test. Going back to Lowes to return. Maybe others are actually having luck with this thing but I echo the others on here. DO NOT BUY!!!
