Hollow Knight- Rancid Egg Uses

Rancid Eggs are a collectible item recovered from the corpses of Bluggsacs. The player will either find an already-dead Bluggsac or will have to kill a living one to cause it to drop the Rancid Egg. Once a Bluggsac has been killed, it will remain dead.

What are Rancid Eggs Used for?
Can be given to Confessor Jiji to summon the Shade that is currently in the game world.

In Steel Soul mode, Steel Soul Jinn replaces Jiji and turns them into Geo‍250-420 instead.

Where is Jiji?
Jiji can be located in Dirtmouth. Head to the far right hand side of Dirtmouth, past the graveyard and you will find a stone door that requires a simple key. Insert a simple key and Jiji will pop out of the shadows to greet you. Any time you leave your Shade on the map with a lot of geo, Jiji can get it back for you. All you have to do is trade her one rancid egg.

Trading a Rancid Egg to Jiji is super helpful if you ever lost your shade in a super difficult to reach area. This will ensure that you can get all of your geo back nice and easy.

How to Acquire Rancid Eggs:
Infinite amounts can be bought from Tuk for Geo‍80-100 in Royal Waterways but she will not sell anymore if the Knight has 80 eggs (Only in normal mode)
1 on Tuk's corpse (Only in Steel Soul mode)
1 given by Tuk if wearing the Defender's Crest (Only in normal mode)
1 bought from Sly for Geo‍60 in Dirtmouth
2 found in City of Tears
3 found in Crystal Peak
3 found in Deepnest
1 found in Fungal Wastes
1 found in Greenpath
1 found in Queen's Gardens
1 found in Resting Grounds
4 found in Royal Waterways
2 found in Kingdom's Edge
1 given by Grubfather in Forgotten Crossroads (16 Grubs)

Trivia:
Despite the eggs being considered inedible, it is implied that both Tuk and Confessor Jiji eat them.

When I first saw this I thought it said "Rancid eggs are useless." Lol! Am I the only one who thinks they're overrated? They are the reward for so many difficult areas of the game and I just think, I'd almost rather have anything else!
