Simple and Fast French Baguette Recipe

————INGREDIENTS————
4g of yeast
8g salt
400g flour
300ml warm water (not hot, not cold)

———— STEPS ————
1. Place yeast and salt in a bowl
2. Dilute with a bit of water until fully diluted
3. Add all the flour
4. Add the rest of the water
5. Mix until you get a homogeneous lump
6. Cover with wet rag for 2h (to let it rise)
7. After 2h, shape into baguettes, slice/carve the top of the bread diagonally, and place on a baking sheet in the oven for ~25min at 425 degrees F.
(You can add some water at the bottom of the oven to make bread more crispy)

Nicely done. I’m a home bread baker and have made baguettes multiple ways, straight no knead dough, Poolish and sourdough with great results. I wanted something no knead and fast. If I mixed this in the evening, I’d probably let it sit in the fridge overnight to get more flavor, to ferment or final proof.
