I watched this video 5 times and did not succeed in getting a reverb on a voice channel. Turns out that if the "Insert" button is activated for a channel (even if the insert destinations are OFF) then the effect is NOT AVAILABLE for FX mix. After deselecting the insert button the effects worked fine. The XR18 is a super value mixer by the way. Simon.

Hi, thanks for this… I’ve been struggling with getting a good reverb, sadly you haven’t shown what effect your using… when I had my analog desk a few years back I had an amazing vocal effects which I’m trying desperately to reproduce on the xr the last 4 years!!

How do you set up the FX bus return for a channel? Is that automatic. Could you do a step by step explanation? It'd be kindly appreciated, bought this but probably shouldn't have since I hate dealing with technology

Thanks for this video. I can get effects to the main mix no problem. Is there a way to get the effects to Bus 1 and hear it in the cans? I can hear the mic in the cans, but no effects.
