If the channel in which the airsoft bb rides up and down would be conical, so it’s larger diameter on top, it would work better, I think. Because air could rush in, as soon as the bb would lift from the o ring. Modify it mr engineer. :D

You should make a system to ensurw the motion of the ball valve is linear(like using a spring or so) that way it will wear down less and also it wont have irregular timing allthough in most cases the effect would be negligible

I actually want to thank you for making your prototypes without printing. It takes extra consideration. Personally I have had a printer for a few years but i remember before that thinking "only if i could have this part." I try to use hand tools to make parts now

why don't you make a double acting single piston with NdFe magnet that is also the shuttle valve and then encase in a coil and make power . only one moving part the piston.
