So… I was born in 83.
I remember studying “My Book of Bible Stories” during book study. I had to have been around 5 years old-ish.
So that would have been around year 1988??
I remember being super excited because it was a book that I understood and liked!
At least the kids will be happy 😊
I’m guessing they will not drag this out for years 😂 but we’ll see.

I have been saying, they've stopped telling us to do our "daily Bible reading". They used to hammer this to us. The problem when you read the Bible is, to discover so many things contrary to what you were taught

Pretending that the immature ones are the ones accepting científic truths and the mature ones are the ones denying reality when it doesnt align with their beliefs is insane

I can imagine how frustrating it will be for JWs having to rush home from work, change clothes, get the kids dressed and in the car, drive (and for some that means a long distance), the gas cost, etc. to study a little kids book. Then, they can feel guilty about feeling frustrated because that attitude does not please Jehovah.😢

I used to be a JW but when I started asking questions they wanted me out. My question wasn't between doctrines or theologies, my question was about contradictions within their own writings. They decided to skip the normal procedures of discipline and deemed me apostate and went straight to disfellowshipping me. So now for an elder to talk to me puts his soul in jeopardy. They are slaves to an organization that thinks they are God. They have replaced the fear of displeasing God with the fear of displeasing them.

I was so busy studying their diarrhea literature it left little time to read the Bible which is what they want. Nowadays I talk to my PIMI family they cutoff the phone conversation saying “I’m busy studying my watchtower/literature” rarely reading the Bible.

I went to a KH funeral a few years ago, hadn’t been in a KH since the early 90s. Talked with people I knew as a kid, people who knew my family etc. I was floored at how sedated and incurious they all seemed. It’s a small sample size of course, but I could totally see them studying a kid’s book and not being too troubled by it.

The WT has been “dumbing” down their material for years. I left a few years prior to the change of having the bookstudy from individual homes to the KH. I think the rumor was at the time that this change was to prevent JWs from thinking on their own or question things due to not being at the KH where that type of behavior can be more tightly controlled. Plus the bookstudy was the least attended meeting out of the 5 weekly meetings at the time. So it made sense to get rid of it as a separate meeting. Now they just need to get rid of all the other meetings. 😊

Wally, my mother began dragging me to JW meetings around 1957. We had the "Paradise" book, and I'm pretty sure that CHILDREN'S BOOK was never used in JW meetings to teach adults. But today's JWs are not adults, they're "a-dolts"!

They're running out of subjects to study and have no prophecies to discuss so it's full circle for them.

Yes! They have progressively been dumbing down for the last 15 years, but this is completely ridiculous. Can you imagine inviting someone to the meeting and THIS book is studied? 😂

Many in the hall are approaching their 'second childhood' and thank Jehovah for tailoring His rich spiritual food to their diminishing intellects. And many are not that bright in the first place.
