I've been looking into this. I have like 4 people at my school are JWs, and their really nice. I don't get how they're a cult and I look it up once, find nothing, and YouTube suggests this crap. It offends me since their my friends.

From what the internet explains. A religious cult is a religion that doesn't believe in the trinity doctrine. Not a cult.. That's called unorthodox. They then bring up these group of people that apparently run the church. But aren't a lot of Orthodox churchs ran by the pope, who is somehow retired and rich and always owns a Lamborghini when apparently hoarding money is a sin? Still. Not a cult.. They go door to door? Yeah. Where I live, I've had more people from the First Community Church than Jehovahs witnesses come to my door because my father told them he wasn't interested they haven't came back for 3 months VS the FCC coming to our door every Sunday.

A cult is where you worship men in believing they can do magical things. It's kind of like churches praising Jesus. Who is apparently a guy. The witnesses believe in a god, that is himself, separated from Jesus. So just because they don't worship a man, they're a cult.

If you can explain it better because it's hard finding information that makes sense.

You could say all religions are cults. All religions have there own beliefs and force those beliefs on children. So being part of a religion dose not make it a cult. As I'm not part of any religion because all of them cannot be trusted. Because there is to many of them.

Spoiler alert anyone who brings their deity into a court of law To prove that deity guilty of existing is setting themselves up for the verdict Due to an utter lack of evidence, The prosecution has failed to meet their burden of proof and therefore their god has been deemed not guilty of existing.
This is also why I believe theists should be banned from sitting in judgment of others
