The unit arrived. Installing today. ProTip: I always grease my terminals with High Temp red Axle Grease (automotive battery terminals, low V outdoor connections etc) it will prevent corrosion and failure of equipment if mmoisture andhumidity are issues. The grease is cheap insurance and won't melt off in very hot conditions... Like under your hood, or in the middle of summer in the Sahara. If you're worried about the mess on your battery terminals you need a shop rag in your trunk. ;)

One stupid question. When you first install it, do you have to add salt to the water ?

This EC Series is a product by a scam company. I bought a EC20 with 15, 000 gallons of water. I have a SafeDip meter to ensure all chemicals in range. It worked in 1st week then started to generate very little chlorine, causing my pool to turn green. Contact manufacturer, the customer service told me the equipment can’t be installed outside because of rain. I still need to add chlorine to the pool. It said lifetime warranty but manufacturer refused to honor with stupid excuses as described. I had pentair salt chlorinator for over 10 years and never heard it can’t be installed outside.
