Converting your pool to a salt pool with the Intex crystal clear system

I use a plastic colander to put the salt in our 18’ X 48” Intex pool. Directions state you should make sure the salt is at the correct level before running the saltwater system. Okay to run the pump to help dissolve your salt but until the salt is thoroughly dissolved so that it is at the correct ppm you shouldn’t turn on the electrocatalytic oxidation (saltwater system). That way you don’t ruin your saltwater system.

As far as I know, you can only do a salt conversion and above ground pool that is vinyl or nonmetal.

I just bought this system and I think I'm returning it, I think it will rust out my frame faster. I rather buy clorox and frame part in 2 years, since each leg is going for 75$
