I don't think that they should remove pen. It's an extra feature.. You are paying tons of money for a phone. The more you get, the better. Samsung and other android phone manufacturers should add more and more features like pen into their products in order to attract more iPhone users. I read pdf files on my phones. I have to make notes of it. If I have a pen then reading files and making notes would be very comfortable. Very helpful for all people who are students or in academics.

A lot of people just love the analog approach to things and they are willing to pay premium for it, also the pen is what makes the Ultra more Premium and unique from other OEMs.
Also a tip, when you are annotating and you draw lines or shapes, when you're done drawing for example a circle just hold your pen steady after finishing and it will make it much neater circle.
As for translating, just bring up circle to search and on bottom right there is a whole page translate button, much quicker and looks much neater as it translates directly on the photo.

There is no debate, The SPen should be there with the S Ultra phones.
if someone does not like that they can always go to another phone or pick regular or plus model.

There is a reason why I paid extra to get the ultra. I love spen. Sure some of the feature are gimmicky depending on how you use your phone. but there is a bigger crowd who loves and uses it and there for go to ultra models. those who don't like it can always go to other devices

I've been a Sammy S Pen user since the Note 4 and Note 5, both of which I still have and use. lol.

S Pen smart select is great. Use it regularly. I can pull out text from pretty much any content. Sometimes, I need to pull out a single line of text or a word from, say, an Amazon product description or from the title of a YT video. Can't do that on Apple.

I also watch international content, so I use S Pen to auto-translate text into English. I actually use this feature pretty much daily. Just hover S Pen over the text, and it brings up the English translation. Neat. Sorry, Apple. 🤷🏿‍♀️

Also, editing sceenshots are more precise than using fingers. 👍🏾

Use S Pen to take my pictures and pause videos/audio. Like with this video I'm watching. Paused this video with S Pen while writing this comment. 😉

I get S Pen might not be for everyone, but this is a key feature of Sammy. I hope they don't scrap it. I mean, they already killed the "Note" line with the 20. If they get rid of the S Pen, then I'll be rocking my S22 Ultra for a while and only upgrade to a model that still has the S Pen, so S24, S25....etc.

I've been using my s22 ultra since it came out. I specifically bought it for the s pen. I do a lot of note-taking during calls at work because I prefer having my notes with me at all times instead of carrying around a separate notebook (which I would regularly forget in meeting rooms or at home). Some would say "just type on your keyboard, it's faster". Not on my phone keyboard. It's a bit too small for my hands to accurately type fast. And typing on a laptop is great and all but there's a little issue... Let me tell, you, there's nothing more annoying than hearing how someone on a call or in person is hammering away on their keyboard when someone else is speaking.
So there are different use cases for the s pen. If you don't see a reason for it to exist or don't have a real word use case for it - get a different phone. End of discussion. What the heck is the point of complaining? The device was targeted at a specific audience, everyone else can use the non-ultra models. That's why they exist- for people that want a flagship without a pen they're never going to use.
In fact, I like the s pen so much, that I would love samsung to finally make a Fold version with an integrated s pen. Once they do, I'd love to get one. Having a bigger screen for note-taking would be amazing.

Signing off documents is another great thing to use the S pen for.
Group shots, thats whats great about the S-Pen as a shutter button, also on the fly photo editing and being able to draw over photos, plans, diagrams etc to explain complex things that are hard to articulate with words alone.
also I did what Flossy said and changed it so when my I take my S-pen out it sounds like a lightsaber is being ignited and extinguished when I put it back and its also good for quickly, precisely selecting text to copy 👍
