AMS 5580 is a specification for Inconel 600, or in generic form, alloy 600.
The UNS designation is N06600. Nominal composition is 74% Nickel, 15.5% Chromium, and 8% Iron. Typical applications include corrosion resistant components and parts that require oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 2000 deg F. Alloy 600 has excellent welding characteristics.
