I worked in his kitchen from 1998 to 2003. It was the best time of my life. Such an inspiring person. One afternoon, we sat together with a group of other four people and peeled 600 kilos of potatos. We then used the potatos to create the biggest tortilla ever cooked in human history. We later found out that a much bigger tortilla had been cooked in Galicia, Spain. When we told Francis, he laughed and responded that he had known all along. He tricked us into believing that we were breaking a world record because he just really wanted to eat a humongous tortilla. And he did.

This man is not just a Chef, but an artist and philosopher of food.

I live in Argentina and I have a whiskey distillery here in Mendoza. This video has inspired me to keep learning and developing new products. One day maybe I might see Francis Malmann walking through my distillery door to have a whiskey or two.

Francis is much more than a chef, he is an artist, he is on another level.

I have seen Chef Ramsay cook, watching him cook is like watching a Formula 1 race, fast and precise. Watching Francis cook is like being with a poet who calmly reads you his best verses.

When those around him always speak of him in contemplative reverent mood, cherished remembrance and with tears too, you know he is quite something.

Suddenly after Los Fuegos show aired, hundreds of chefs appeared grilling. Maestro Francis is a revolutionary chef and his dishes are pure art.

For those English speaking individuals that discovered Francis Mallmann recently, he has been a Busy Bee since (1995-2000) more or less when his cooking show "Los Fuegos de Francis Mallmann" aired and it was an instant success🥩🍷🧀However, along the years I learned that Francis was more a philosopher than a cook, when he teached us that cooking is the result of everything that brings us together as humans like art, music, family and the simple things; the food really doesn't matter😉Joining Anthony Bourdain and Joaquín Sabina, Francis Mallmann has earned his well deserved honorary Baby-Boomer "Badge of Honor" Magna Cum Laude👍

Calidad asegurada!

Its amazing how this small documentary pictures Francis Mallmann and shows what an incredible human he is. Poet, artist, craftsman.
