I eat only one meal a day. I eat breakfast and then fast for the remaining 23.5 hours. I'm 72 and I feel great.

I use a 4-hour eating window..8am-12 noon.
(Whole foods), eggs, vegetables and fruit, fish, and occasionally honey, and grass-fed meats like bison, lamb, etc.

Intermittent fasting isn’t a new thing. It’s how humans should be eating.

I'm a huge fan of intermittent fasting! It may not work for everybody, but so many people lost weight by using this method.

I am doing 16:8 for about 4 days now. The hardest part is seeing people eating yummy foods while my eating window is closed😐

Dr Annette Bosworth convinced me to just do Keto between 8am to 2pm and make sure I get plenty of protein around 2pm. Then I exercise around 6pm and sleep by 8-8:30 (because of the hunger pangs). I am just 1 week into it and am losing more than a pound a day. Hope the hunger subsides.

I have been intermittent fasting for 2 and years. Started with 16:8 now I do 22:4 and will never go back to breakfast lunch and dinner. IF has cost me quite a bit of money because all of my suits and dress pants look like they were never bought for me. They have been re-tailored or had to buy a pain! I am now at my high school graduation weight of 170 and I have been out of high school since 1979.

It’s always funny when news people are late to the party and think they’re telling us something revolutionary. IF & OMAD aren’t new diet fads, they’ve been around for centuries. But, I am glad that more people are learning about it...it could help SO many who are struggling. I truly wish I knew about IF/OMAD years ago. Best wishes to everyone looking into it, go get your life back!

Was on a ketogenic diet several weeks and would eat my last meal earlier and earlier, not realizing it, until my doctor pointed out that I had transitioned into intermittent fasting (16/8). It was effortless primarily because on the keto diet I was fueled by fat instead of carbs. Two years on, I continue my intermittent fasting 6 days a week (fasting 16 to 19 hours a day), altho modified my diet to low carb instead of the more strict keto. It's a permanent lifestyle for me. I'm 60, and just had a thorough medical checkup in prep for long-delayed joint surgery. All indicators great, HBAIC is 5.0, triglyceride/ HDL ratio is that of a long-distance runner, doc says. Passed the dobutamine stress test with flying colors--even though I have been extremely sedentary over the past year due to my joint disability.

I eat between 11am & 4-5pm. I have maintained my 35# weight loss for 3 years. Bacon is my favourite "food group". I eat Ghee or make my own clarified butter. What you eat has a profound effect on your health. That, along with exercise, is the fountain of youth.

What time frames do you all do you fasting? I’m wanting to do 16:8, but I would like to start mine off 9am to 5pm. Because you can fit all your meals in that time frame. Help

When doing intermittent fasting is it ok to eat what you want on the weekends (in moderation) like lunch of choice or dinner of choice but not both and still within the window?
