We had our first package theft in four years and basically three out of three ring devices failed to detect motion. The reason I know is because I have a backup system from another brand. I called Ring Support telling them basically the system failed. She checked everything, Wi-Fi speed, zones, etc after putting me on hold, probably talking to a supervisor on how to respond, she said that it was because of cool down and frequency settings. The last motion was 8 minutes before and she knew it. I pay $30 for the Ring Plus and am 100% disappointed in their response. If you see this review on other videos, then it’s because I’m THAT DISAPPOINTED after spending nearly $1k in product and fees. Unfortunately, I have no idea which system is best at person detection, but I know it’s not Ring.

I begged my dad for 9 months to get a Ring Doorbell Pro and I finally got it last year! It’s the best device I have ever used!

I have the Ring 1 (2020) battery powered. After three months i can say when the device works-- it works great. However, i have found that the settings that seem to work don't work after awhile and it requires another call to customer service to go thru all the various settings to get it working again. The issues are: no alerts, no chime, extreme delay, too many motion alerts. And keep reoccurring even after changing the settings.Customer service is top notch and responsive but Im really tiring of the frequent calls. The Ring 1 is not a set up, install and forget it. It takes many repeated adjustments to keep it working.

I have 4 cameras so I've been on the Plus Protection Plan for years now. When I found out I could add my alarm system for free, I was gobsmacked! We went from $600 a year on monitoring, to zero. Wow. I just added some of the smart lighting, too. Can't wait to the solar options to be available in Canada. I love Ring. I have one camera that drains too quickly and hoping to replace it when I can afford to. That's my only complaint. The others work great and everything is super easy to install and get going.

My peephole doorbell stop working. I actually loved it. I wanted to buy another but it's been discontinued. It was perfect for my apartment.

I asked my sister for ring 3 doorbell camera for Christmas, I got it and fitted it a few days ago and i am happy with the product 😀 I would give it 9/10 What stops the ring 3 getting 10/10 is the recording subscription £2.50 a month which is £30 a year or £24 in 1 payment saving £6, Its not a deal breaker it would of been nice to get at least 1 day FREE recording? Overall a great security device that works fantastic overall.

The biggest drawback for all Ring video doorbells is the limitation on the vertical field of view. Ring doorbells do not allow the viewer to see packages delivered and placed on the front porch.

Worked good for about a year, after a year started having loads of problems with it detecting motion, but not actually recording the video, poor wifi connection even though my router is only about 15 feet from the device, etc.

My Ring app on my iPhone 12 logs itself out so I don't get notifications. Why would it log itself out? This is something Ring should look into and rectify.

What if your door doesen’t aim towards the stairs. At my house you go up the stairs and the door is on the right.

A really informative video- the Ring Doorbell 3 Plus doesnt come with a Chime I believe? So in the event someone rings the bell only my app will notify me? Also will the app notify only when someone presses the bell or also when someone is physically there? Thanks in advance

My ring doorbell failed to video an incident at my home. While watching the playback it seems as though it skipped 35 minutes. That’s exactly when this incident happened. Is there any way we can recover that?

Hi I'm looking to buy a ring video doorbell but had a question. If my internet or wifi briefly drops out just before a motion event, will it eventually upload the video footage once the connection is restored?
