I thought he'd get mad for invading his privacy like that. I guess he's just used to it, having his boundaries broken, so he just doesn't react negatively since that's normal to him. I mean, I still choose not to use illithid powers on him like that, I find it more rewarding when he tells us himself.

I didn't use the tadpole on my first run because my character was a bit of a softie who was already smitten by Astarion. I did use the tadpole in my second run since that guy had a bit of trust issues. I was really surprised he didn't react negatively to the mind reading.
