Nutritional Benefits of Sprouts Explained By Dr. Berg

In this video, Dr. Berg talks about sprouts and added nutrition. This is because you are riding phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors. All vitamins are enhanced and minerals released. You also get more protein release (by 30% more). Broccoli sprouts have 50x more phytonutrients (sulforaphane) than adult broccoli.

I recommend making your sprouts at home, this way you control the quality and they are very inexpensive.

HOW TO SPROUT:

Sprouting releases much more nutrition. Sprouting rids phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors allow the minerals to be available to you.

I have been sprouting my own broccoli sprouts seeds at home for the past couple of months. The process is simple and much more economical than purchasing them from the store (my grocery store charges $3 per pint). With my home growing method, I’m able to consume a cup of fresh broccoli sprouts every day in my huge bucket salad. (I call my salad my bucket salad because it’s enormous lol.)

Dr. Eric Berg's knowledge is very thorough and scientific. He has answers for just about any health issues we have. We have been growing our own garden for years all organic and now our own sprouts. Its so easy, I had been eating sprouts for about 2 weeks, my stomach felt so good. Then I went on a two week vaca and didn't have access to sprouts & got out of the routine and felt yuck again. Thank you Dr. Berg

Great Post!! I lived on a sailboat for 8 years. I cruised through the Bahamas all the time. It was surprising just how few vegetables
were available. That's when I learned about sprouting. I had trays of sprouts growing all the time. That was over 20 years ago. I still sprout today as part of my regular diet.

Dr. Berg, I've been trying to find the answer to this: What would the equivalent be for eating sprouts and microgreens in terms of cups per day to match 7 cups of leafy greens?

You can also make sprouts into spring rolls and eat them with hummus or dip, for better convenience.

I grow sprouts, Broccoli in particular. They're great in salads, in sandwiches, etc. They are very easy to grow. Oh! They contain huge amounts of Glutathione, much more than an adult plant :-)
