After watching so many insulation videos, I'm convinced my attic is the only one with contractor's trash left over. So far I've removed old light cans, unused wires, an old broom, slivers of cut plywood in unusual shapes among other careless leave behinds that detract from a clean space. These videos really show me a lot.

That sure is a lot cleaner than most attics I’ve done, machine works good as well with a steady flow; I see no static or much valleys, well done for teaching purpose!

Now the question is, how in the world do you walk around or do any kind of maintenance in the attic now that you can't even see the joists?

Is your attic VENTED? If so, as most all attics are, then you don't want to cover the vents. You need good ventilation in the attic to prevent heat buildup in the summer which will increase your cooling bills AND the excess heat will reduce the life of your shingles. I'm talking about soffit vents.

Is this worth the investment, does it really help. I'm in an older house and when the guy just did my AC unit maintenance he told me attic insulation level is a 4 and should be at 22, I'm a widow so just don't want to be ripped off...

Smh where is an attic that wide open for blow? Maybe 1 in 1000 jobs I can’t even with this video…attics have wires, engineering left over from framers, hvac etc etc. Where in this video does it go over how to blow. Also I would like to note that the hose must be pulled by another person from the access hole unless you plan on having a hundred foot of hose on your way out of the attic. Jobs at 2500 sq ft should be done in 45 minutes or less thiers no time to stop and drop the hose out at that length on your own at temps above 150 degrees in the summer months…ridiculous. Make a better tutorial.
