If you want to avoid mosquitoes on your property, remove all sources of standing water (flower pot dishes etc). Clean your roof gutters, investigate your yard for turned over pots, puddles on plastic tarping, groundcover etc. if you’re going to be outside, light some citronella candles and incense then retreat back indoors for 15 minutes. Let the smoke etc fumigate your outdoor space for a bit, then go back outside. Keep that shit lit until you’re ready to go back inside.

Mosquitoes hate Vick's Vapor Rub. I little dab will do ya on your ears, neck, arms, legs, ankles, etc. OK, 1 dab on your forehead too if you must.

I get eaten alive. it's awful. However, a couple years ago I tried the cetaphil baby oil with calendula on my legs after a shave, and for some reason I didn't get any bites! Now I use it religiously every time I shave, and the excess on my arms and chest, and I get so significantly fewer bites that i can't recommend it enough! I have no idea what ingredient is the gold that mosquitoes dislike, but I love it. Plus the smell is fairly light. Even deet containing bug repellents don't work as well for me.
I also use a hommade bug repellent made of about a cup of water and ten drops each tea tree, lavender, and eucalyptus oils in a spray bottle, shake and apply liberally. That works as my back up if I havent used the oil in more than two or three days, I find that's the limit.

I am one of those people who mosquitoes love, and used to volunteer at an outdoor facility in Florida. So I wore jeans year round. It is true about the darker colors. One day I had my usual light blue jeans on, and the person sitting next to me was wearing very dark blue, almost black jeans. I saw mosquitoes swarming around her jeans but not around mine.

A plant biology grad student told my daughter to wear a surgical mask walking in woods to reduce mosquito bites, as exhaled CO2 stays closer to you and attracts fewer mosquitoes. It’s an anecdotal theory but seems logical.

Funny, I just sat down to watch your vid & a mosquito buzzed past me😮 I mowed this evening so one may got inside w door open. I sometimes put rubbing alcohol on arms & Legs, if Iam out of OFF repellent
