When I became a vegetarian 1.5 years ago, mosquitoes stopped biting me completely. Don't think I've gotten 5 bites since, and never use repellent anymore. Cattle and horses don't have problems with them either, but dogs and cats do. But then the world wouldn't work very well if the herbivores couldn't be where the vegetation was all day because they were attacked by mosquitoes, and they eat most of the day to sustain. Just my observation.
