After a bit of reading around, I think another good thing tip to add is the display. This may be a bit difficult but a lot of 2nd hand iphones here in the philippines come with "class A" displays. At first glance its not that noticeable but when you've seen an orignal apple lcd it's a world of difference. Class A displays have a blueish cold tint to them. Colors aren't vibrant, they are washed out and just the overall clarity and pixel density doesn't seem right. There is also a small but noticeable air gap between the glass and the lcd panel itself when viewed from the side. Finally, class A displays have lower refresh rates than orginal apple lcds so using the phone doesn't feel as smooth and fluid like you expect. There will be stutters throughout the interface and especially when gaming. Finally it affects battery life because class A displays are not calibrated to use the same power draw..

Ive purchased several iPhones off ebay, you can usually find really good deals,
and i've been incredibly lucky thus far.
The SE i got was listed in "good" condition, but actually arrived in brand new condition.
I was kind of amazed.
Seems to be a lot of fakes on Amazon, though & Gazelle seems pricey to me.

I bought a used iPhone SE in Shanghai, China, super smooth outside, when I checked the serial via Apple Serial Checker it says iPhone SE 64gb. It is still in IOS 9.3.3 I tried to update it via wifi but can't... so I tried to update it via recovery mode in itunes, fuck.... it was iPhone 5 16gb refurbished to be look like iPhone SE.

Bought an iPhone 5S, was told it was an SE, so kind of PO’d about that, but IDC. Anyway, the screen was shattered, which again, IDC, but I was told nothing was wrong with it. When I got it the phone wasn’t reset, so all the previous owners info was on it (their email, Facebook, etc), so I asked for their iCloud password so I could take off “find my iPhone” and reset the phone. They had no clue what I was talking about, told me to contact Apple (which I’m sure they couldn’t do anything about it) and etc. I was a bit pissed and decided to change their iCloud password, just so I could reset the phone. I reset the phone to factory settings and hadn’t looked at my messages since I didn’t have internet and couldn’t, but I finally looked at them at 12am using my aunts hotspot and they were saying that I had locked them both out of their phones cause I couldn’t “wait”. I told them the password and then blocked them. Turns out the iPhone had a lot wrong with it, the charger port is broken, I have to charge it while it’s off. There is no SIM card tray, so I had to buy a new one, the headphone jack had lint in it, so I had to clean it out, luckily everything else works, I did get it for $40 so I can’t really complain, but just be truthful next time, like damn.

I made mistakes twice in purchasing used iPhones. Just don't buy used iPhone the experience is not the same as when you buy a new one
