I am a male who will be 72 next week. Am in pretty good health and people say I look like I am in my 50s. I am diabetic but controlled with exercise, diet and very little insulin now days. Been married to the love of my life for 18 years and she is 23 years younger than me but keeps me on the go. In 2009 I had kidney and bladder cancer. Lost left kidney and small portion of bladder but cancer free since. I have had two back surgeries in last 4 years which fixed part of my problem but have arthritis in my back. Every morning I get up at 315 am weekday mornings before work later in weekends and walk on treadmill for an hour at between 4.3 and 4.5 mph at 3 to 5 incline, ride stationary bike and do 300 crunches and 90 push ups along with some weights. When I weed eat my yard which takes a long time my back hurts for days so tried this last night before bed for 8 minutes and got up this morning and did treadmill with no pain and felt GREAT. Did it this morning for 8 minutes before work. Wife and I went to Sam’s today and walked around very little pain. Came home and did this for 5 minutes and then reset timer for another 5 and fell asleep. Laid there for about 30 minutes. This actually works and plan on doing it everyday twice a day. I’ve been doing legs up the wall for about 2 weeks now. I do this every morning when I wake up around 5-6am and I no longer have back pain when I’m at my desk all day. My legs feel so light when I walk and I’ll keep going.

I do this pose when I wake up in the middle of the night. It relaxes me and I go right back to sleep!

I have practiced Yoga since my early 20’s. Yoga helps your body age gracefully and naturally. This is a very relaxing yoga pose (Legs up the wall). It also calms the mind and relieve tired legs and feet. By the way, I am 71 years old and this is one of my favorite yoga poses. Dr. Mandell, I enjoy your helpful videos. I did it for the 1st time before bed last night and it felt amazing. My lower back felt warm as all the pain disappeared and it's so relaxing I stayed like that for 22 mins. I slept like a baby too, no more insomnia for me! So happy to hear about this, I had no idea it was a yoga pose. Thanks so much !! Blessings 💞

Doc, you are absolutely correct. This therapy doesn't take long at all, but the effects are tremendous. It's helped so much with swelling in the body, digestive issue, even flexibility, etc.. GOD bless you for your willingness to share. Who knew something so simple could help in soo many ways.

Well, Dr Mandel, thank you....I just did this. I am proud of myself. At 79 I did not think I could do this. It makes my lower back feel better and that is just after 7 minutes. Will Keep it up.

Wow... I have just tried it and my normal heart rate which is between 71/69 went to the lowest record I have ever seen to 62. Will do it everyday. Thank you very much

I do this daily while I listen to the words of JESUS my LORD and my GOD. Its very good. Physical exercise and spiritual exersise. ❤

I honestly do this pose every night right before I go to sleep. It helps me to get a good night sleep without relying on sleeping pills. I can then get a good night sleep without worrying about any side effects, or a dent in my wallet.

I started doing this on my bed because my back and hips are bad, so getting on the floor is hard for me. But I noticed a massive difference the very next day. My feet and legs didn't ache and my back felt better. The veins in my legs didn't ache as much either.

I've had back and hip pain for over two years now, and haven't been able to walk without hurtin'. A few days of this, and I can't say I'm pain free, but it's so much better. If you've got pain down there, try it out!
