Why does everyone do speedtests on a phone over WiFi? Do it properly with a laptop via an ethernet cable with no one using the Internet. 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️

I've always found wifi to be around 25-30% down on ethernet connection. We can only get superfast 60 in our area. Ethernet to tv is bang on 60 consistently, but wifi averages 40mbs. Cables will always offer faster speeds.

Ping is how long it takes for a response between the Internet connection and the website mainly good for online gaming lower the ping the better for gaming and a more smooth experience

The grey box is what is delivering a full fibre optic cable all the way to your house. "Superfast" and all previous "Fibre" offerings are NOT fibre all the way to your house, there is still a copper line forming part of your connection. Full fibre is required for us to get beyond 80Mbps on "part" fibre connections.
You also need the ONT (small white box) installed inside too.

Huge difference in ping as well. Can't beat the speed of light.
portman
Nice one, no fibre to the house here yet sadly

Been watching every single video you guys have uploaded since October last year and got to be honest, i generally enjoy watching these, its almost a duty for me to watch these now on a regular basis which is a good thing. I had a question i remember adam went over to windsor castle and he mentioned there would be a mountain peak video to come soon, have you filmed that yet cos that would be an amazing video 😊
Mike-ifkx
the little grey box that got installed where does that cable run too?

I don't use Sky Internet more than 3 years and i have cancelled the contract since then. My question is, why they keep sending me letter and insist to pay Sky Internet even i don't use it anymore ? 😡😡😡

Ping was 82 now 10 that's real impressive

Ping is time taken by data packets generated from user to reach server & back to user. It is measured generally in mili seconds (one thousandth of one second).Originally we had sky to we where meant to get 150mbps down yet we never got over 60mbps down

bro in paris the company orange has a deal for like 30 euros which gives you 500mbps

Well, I’m paying 40 quid for the actual what you’re talking about so I cannot be out happening to me and I’m disabled as well and they said there’s no reduced price

Very interesting we switched to Ultrafast. It was ok for awhile at 149.5 Download in a Bungalow. Now the most we get is 92.5 download. Iv'e tried all sorts to rectify it to no avail. This is on main PC right next to the Fibre coming in.

Sky ULTRA FAST SHOULD BE AROUND 500mbps and not 159mbps for £45 or so except if you are paying way less and GIGAFAST is £58 for 900mbps assuming you have the modern fibre optics cables running to your house because i can see you have the small white box with the three green lights also installed on your wall close to your router...My speed is the 500mbps which has never dropped down below 400mbps except if sky is down for Routine maintenance or router firmware upgrades and to maintain flawless internet and wireless coverage i use ASUS WIFI 6 AND WIFI 6E AIMESH ROUTERS which gives excellent coverage and performance in and around my house even in the garage

I'm getting sky fiber being installed this week, but its gonna be connected to my gaming WiFi network, sky did say about ultra it should be minimum 100mbs
