How to Stop your Dog from SHEDDING!

This is the real deal - my dog is a crazy shedder. I've pretty much succumbed to the fact that I'm going to have to live with dog hair on my clothes for as long as Django is alive. THAT BEING SAID I've figured out some tricks to help the shedding be more bearable, which I will share with you here.

I should note that there is no cure for shedding, so if you're looking for that then...sorry about your luck. Healthy dogs will shed, but there is a point where excessive shedding could be a sign of an unhealthy dog. If your dog seems to be shedding excessively, or loosing his hair in big chunks, then you may want to book an appointment with your vet to check it out.

Vet said you can put fishoil in their food, she gave me something for it had fishoil in it and it did help!

We adopted a Romanian Herder 6 months ago and she sheds like mad. I’m hoping it’s due to the stress she endured, it now that she’s more comfortable, I hope it becomes less in time.

I vacuum daily... My lungs/throat hurt from the hair. I put them out for thanksgiving dinner they had their bed and a blanket and my family kept giving me crap for keeping them outside but I could finally breath. We keep them inside the house. I love dogs but I’m never getting another because of this... I used to live in the country and the dogs lived outside in a dog house. I’ve had my dog for nine years but it seems like it’s gotten worse since we moved in our new house with hardwood floors.

I have developed really bad hay fever because of our dogs. They are three now and we love them so much, but boy is it hard justifying keeping them when I have an outbreak. I have to prevent them from going into certain parts of the house just to keep it hair and dandruff free. They are boys dogs so they seem to get a bit funky really quickly a few days after bathing. 😵‍💫. Their hairs are super short, straight, and thin so it’s a nightmare because they are constantly puffing hairs into the air.

I have a Yorkie, doesnt shed at all, My other dog looks like a German Shepherd mix & has a blue eye and her coat blows out white hairs, which makes me think maybe Husky, but both breeds ears stand up, my girl has floppy ears, she sheds so bad i have to sweep the carpet before vacuuming or ill have to turn the vacuum over unclog the bottom!

Question: do you have any suggestions for a good brush for a short haired dog? My dog is (suspected to be) a German shepherd/yellow lab mix but he has the lab color and short hair. The problem is that every brush I've tried the bristles can't get into his thin fur enough to actually get much hair off.

Misleading title. I thought you would at the very least give some tips to significantly reduce the shedding of "normal" shedders. Instead, I received a lecture as to why I should embrace it. How about, no. It is not for everyone.

No they dont shed. I have a poodle mix. Never have hair around from him. He has to have his hair cut. when i pet him he never sheds.
