When my Grannie died in 1985 I had just graduated from college and moved across country for my job. She told me she wanted me to have her 1940 Kirby vacuum cleaner because according to her it is the best vacuum ever made, I used that vacuum for another 5 years. It was still picking up dirt like it was new when I donated it. I bought a new Kirby in 1990. Fast forward to 2004 when I went through my own vacuum wars. My ex husband told me he was keeping my vacuum. He knew I had bought that vacuum with my money. There is not a better vacuum out there but I was not going to fight about it. My son's who were teenagers at the time thought it was so silly. he was keeping. my Kirby vacuum. They waited till he went to work and brought me the vacuum. I got my Kirby back!!!!

I found either the Kirby Avalir or the Hoover Constellation my favorite vacuum.

Kirby Avalir: it's design looks so beautiful and you can't beat that. It's also the most powerful upright vacuum.

Hoover Constellation: It's my grandparents' vacuum and it's alot better than newer ones.

As a vacuum collector and repair technician, my favorite is the Lindhaus Healthcare Pro. It's one of the most repairable vacuums on the market and it's will truly last a lifetime. I've seen Lindhaus vacuums from the 80s that are still running like new! They come in for a routine service and cleaning.

The Sebo Dart (mechanically the same as the Sebo Felix but with a couple of fewer features like no suction control, no swivel feature, no handle height adjustment) is the best vacuum I've ever used. It has great suction and airflow, is really maneuverable, is relatively lightweight, and cleans all kinds of surfaces really well.

Sebo Dart, Felix's little brother without the swivel. What separates Sebo from the other brands is its filtration. What goes in, stays in. The whole house stays cleaner, especially the air. My fans and air purifier prove the Sebo keeps inside air clean after vacuuming. The best hands down.

I’m no enthusiast AND IDK how I got here. But the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 has a special place in my heart as it was the inspiration behind Kirby in the Brave Little toaster, which was my favorite movie growing up (any 90s kid will remember that movie). Same goes for the Sunbeam t-9 toaster! Inspiration for Toaster in the same movie! Pretty much every appliance used as the basis for characters in that movie will have a special place in my heart!

My favourite vacuum is a tough decision, but i'd have to give it to the Miele S7, particularly the S7510 which has the headlight and LED control panel. Its a great cleaner because its built in Germany and has a quality feel to it, it performs well on both carpet and hard floor, it has variable and fully automatic suction control which varies the motor speed according to the conditions, it is bagged and uses the best bags (Miele Hyclean) in the industry, it has a full length stair hose, and aluminium extendable wand, and it also has a swivel neck to make steering it a pleasure. In my own review of this machine, it was only one of 3 vacuums I have ever given 10/10 for, and I consider it to be the "Rolls Royce" of vacuums. In second place I'd have to give that to the SEBO Felix, and in third place, it would probably be the Miele S8730 canister. All 3 of the favourite vacuums are German made, which says something about their quality and perfomance. Dyson, Kirby and Shark do not feature in my top 3, which may come as a surprise to some people.

I’ve been using my Rainbow D3C since 1986 and it’s only required one service call for a broken beater bar. I bought a second Rainbow in 2018 (E2 Model 12) since I moved to a place with an up and downstairs. The D3C is still my favorite even though the E2 is easier to use.

The Kirby Sentria is my favorite that I have experience with. Looks great with the polished aluminum, incredibly powerful, versatile, and reliable.

I’m very fond of my Kirby The Ultimate G Diamond Edition it’s just a overall power house and leaves super nice carpet lines! My other pick would be my Electrolux Epic Series 3500sr 75th anniversary edition, a lot of people that I grew up around had a version of that upright from various years from both the Electrolux and Aerus nameplates. It’s a good cleaner and it’s my daily driver as it’s quick to set up and go, decent on carpet, does great on bare floors and is just a good over all vacuum!

I can't pick one specific vacuum, but my favourite canister is a tie between the Rainbow D4 Series and E2 black for versatility and environmentally friendliness, upright is the Kirby for versatility and power for something that consumes half the power of most canisters and oddball vacuum cleaners I kinda like the Shark Rocket for versatility.

Simplicity S40 is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever owned and used! Super powerful and the very long hose comes in handy.

My Rainbow SRX changed the way I clean, I now clean floor to ceiling with one tool and run it a couple of hours each day as an air purifier. More money than I ever thought I could spend on a vacuum but so far its been well worth the investment.

Out of all the vacuums I use on a regular basis, my favorite is the Shark Navigator NV22L, because I love the power, and the way it feels when you use it.

Oooh I'm famous! Great video, and a fab idea for content! Good to see we all picked a wide range of cleaners. Interesting that none were bagless...

I have a Kirby Avalir 2 and a Rainbow SRX. These two vacuums are my favorites. I have owned many vacuums from low budget to high budget. I thought that Dyson and Shark were the best of the best (they are still great cleaners) but then I found others. I am now looking at the Riccar Tandem Air Premium Pet Upright Vacuum, model R40P.6

I use Miele and it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever used. It’s not upright though. I hear Sebo is really good.

I'll vote for the Riccar Supralite. As the name implies, it's light. It does one thing and does it well - no pile of attachments and hoses. It doesn't even have a height adjustment or brush roll off switch, but it cleans from bare floors to super long shag and even beds and upholstery really well. And since it's easy to use, it gets used a lot.
