What is tolerance and why it's so important

Hey guys in this week's 3 minute Tuesday today I'm going to be talking about tolerance and why its so important. In industrial design, tolerance is the allowable variation in a part's dimension. What I find incredibly satisfying is when I purchase something (like Ikea furniture) everything just fits just right. That's thanks to good tolerance!
