How to Activate/ Reset Not Activated Evolution Controller Generac/ Honeywell/ Eaton/ Seimens

This is how to reset a Not Activated Generac Evolution Controller in order to activate if someone skipped the activation during generator controller set up. A controller not activated requires manual starting the generator. It loses the auto feature which controls the generator when a power failure occurs. You need to contact Generac and acquire activation code

I have a brand new generac I am using it as a power station for my cabin. I have no power or internet. I want to be able to start it manually from my cabin. I heard this can be done. Would like some help please. Also my battery runs down while it is running.

Could’ve pulled the F1 fuse from the controller instead of disconnecting the battery and then unplug the T1 harness. The 7.5 amp fuse in the controller connects the battery to it.

I recently found my Generac 22kw generator with a yellow and red light showing. I noted that the alarm code was for rpm sense lost, and the yellow was for check battery. It was freezing, and we were without power, so i changed the battery from my car to check for fix.
When the controller energized, it flashed the blue manual light about 4 times, the screen switched to show the hardware and firmware and then went immediately to off. The screen now shows fuel selection NG, and no combinations of enter, escape, up, down, will cause any change in the screen readout. Also, even if i remove the fuse, the TI to the controller, and remove negative battery terminal, to reset, the keypad affects no change to the screen.
Is there something i am missing? is there troubleshooting advice for the evolution controller?

If you don’t activate, will the side light always remain yellow? Mine isn’t activated but still works but has a yellow not green light. I just want to be sure i’m not missing something.

I have a Generac 15KW Guardian Plus, model # 0043903. Last July, Ithe battery was dead, and the battery charger was only putting out 1.5 volts. I replaced the battery charger and recharged the battery. Last month, I found the battery dry, and the charger was putting out 24 volts. What is going on with the battery chargers? Or is it the battery?

Just started up a new generac 22kW Air cooled unit with a 200 amp SE/auto transfer switch. Everything checked out and functioned as it should. The only issue i see is in checking generator output volts i see at E1 to E2 = 243.2vac E1 to Neutral=123.8vac E2 to Neutral=119.6vac with or without load. Voltage/Hz seems stable. Do you think there's an problem with a 4vac difference in E1toN vs E2toN? Thanks, Russ

I've been following a lot of your videos and they've been very helpful since the installer is clueless and still has yet to give me a working generator for the time being. that being said...

I have a 22kw generac standby generator and will finally have the auto transfer switch installed next week (long story). Anyways, what steps would you take if you needed to turn off the generator during an outage lets say to refuel etc? would you simply flip the switch in the panel back to utility/main first or turn off the generator manually then flip the switch?

also when doing routine maintenance (oil change etc), is simply turning the generator to the off position and keeping the main line circuit breaker off enough to prevent it from turning on? thanks a lot.

Hi thanks for the video my generator board is not responsive I did your reset truck and that seemed to restart it but my buttons are not letting me pick English . None of the buttons are working any ideas .If it gets wet does it burn out the buttons? Left the lid open in a rain storm

On initial startup after hooking up the battery the display panel on the control panel came up blank. The install wizard never prompted what could be causing that problem and can it be fixed?

If you put a new controller on a geneac 17 kw do you have to reactivate it when I start it . It run to fast and go to overspeed and shuts down would like some help
