Po Boys! A mandatory eat if you’re ever in the New Orleans area. There’s a couple of ways to do it but we’re frying up ours with some battered shrimp and a homemade remoulade that’ll take what some people say is an overrated sandwich to the next level.

Grocery List:

Creole Seasoning:
5 tbsp paprika
3 tbsp salt
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp dried oregano
2 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp white pepper
1 tbsp cayenne pepper

Remoulad:
1 cup mayo
1 tbsp creole or whole grain mustard
1 tbsp prepared horseradish
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tsp Louisiana hot sauce
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp creole seasoning

Shrimp:
1lb Jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail off
1 tbsp Louisiana hot sauce
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 whole beaten egg
1 tbsp creole seasoning
1 cup all purpose flour
3 tbsp cornstarch
Vegetable oil
Shredded lettuce
Sliced tomatoes
French Bread

Always appreciate your emphasis with ingredients like prepared horseradish vs horseradish sauce, because that is definitely a mistake I would make

The summer after Katrina I went down to Jackson, Mississippi as part of a church missions trip. We were helping build a house for a resident who had lost hers. Ok the last day, she came round with a cooler full of home made po boys and root beer. One of the best damn sandwiches I ever had.

That looks absolutely amazing! I'm definitely going to have to give this a go. Great video and guide thank you! I do prefer your longer videos though

I gotta admit, I personally prefer these short & sweet videos as opposed to your rather lengthy videos these days (my attention span sucks) but either way, always love seeing what you make next :)
