I do not see google calendar in this video, you only use outlook? Seems like for google calendar I have to have an addon like Zapier to link them? Any suggestions?

Click bait - if you have to update both your calendar app and your planner in order for them to match, you haven't synced anything. You've copied and pasted between sources.
