What is Dynamic EQ – This video is all about using a Dynamic EQ and the specific use of Dynamic EQs on vocals. I personally think that using a dynamic EQ is a great technique for producers and audio engineers to know. They are brilliant at only applying EQ changes to your track when it is completely necessary and can make your mixes sound great!

Thank you SO MUCH! Downloaded Nova - you are right .. great plugin. The one thing you mentioned which was a real eye-opener - the ability to EQ a single drum track (e.g. Logic's Drummer) .. never thought about that! A real gem of a tip.

If u know about the exact function of expander and upward compression it will be a good topic. I watched Fabfilter pro MP tutorials on those things like expansion and upward compression etc but didn't understand about the threshold, the visuals are confusing.

Just curious - what monitors are you using? Do like them? They can be quite expensive. Just wondering your thoughts on this topic... Is is it really necessary to spend thousands $ on high end monitors to achieve precise monitoring. By the way, I thought both of your renders, “pre and post EQ” sounded great. I am a kid from the 1970’s- lol. My biggest complaint about today’s music is that with the new LUFS limitations on volume. Back in the 80s, Sony came out with a cassette tape player called The Walkman. You could pop on the small headphones, crank up the volume, and literally block out all the sounds of the rest of the world. And the music sounded amazing. By contrast, today when someone listens to music with a set of earbuds, you can turn them up to full volume, and carry on a conversation with the person beside you. My theory on this is that streamers are trying avoid class action law suits... People damaging their hearing and then suing the streamers for allowing the volume to be loud enough to damage hearing.
