Studio Display with Windows and no Thunderbolt... 🤔

I decided to try plugging my PC laptop into my Apple Studio Display... even though it doesn't have Thunderbolt. Will it work? Should you buy a Studio Display to use with Windows PCs?

if your graphics card has a usb c connector, plug the provided ASD cable into it and into the display and everything works. did this with my reference 6900 xt. the usb c ports on the back work too and i use it with my mouse, keyboard, and headphones

I have a 5k iMac, if and when I upgrade to a Mac Studio I will definitely get a 5k display. I can’t imagine downgrading to 4k.

I did a lot or reading and based on this YT video I've decided to buy the studio display for both my M1 max 16 macbook and will use my Lenovo Thinkpad P53 with windows as well. It supports a 5K resolution with thunderbolt. I can live with the compromises for windows.

I am in the process of upgrading my M1/Imac for (when it comes out) a M3 Max Studio and of course would need an external monitor, its good to see and hear your opinion regarding this 5k monitor, think this would be a perfect match, many thanks. John

Bar none, the Apple Studio Display has one of or THE BEST built-in speakers. I love my Apple Studio Display. I just hate that I can't connect to my Gaming Desktop.

Not it's compatible with the last-get Intel Mac Pros it should "support" a Windows Machine.

You need to be about 20" from the screen to appreciate the nano pixels.
