Fun fact! Back in the day, these monitors were a gold standard for color reproduction work. The panel inside of them was the same one used by Eizo and NEC at double and triple the price point. It was one of the most versatile and consistent panels for its time. Everyone likes to crap on Apple for their prices, but they use the good stuff under the hood. Well. Usually…

The main problem of it is that there is a gap between the display itself and the glass. So you will see much more reflections than on a regular display

These Apple Thunderbolt Displays are pretty awesome! Btw, I have the original 2006 Apple Cinema Display that I got along with my 2006 Mac Pro that I recently upgraded as far as it can go. That 17 year old display still holds up great.

I have 1 thunderbolt display since college and still going strong 8 years later. Then last month decided to bought 1 in pristine condition for $200 and put it on my office.

It mind-boggling when I was at the market for 27" QHD/1440p monitor with $200ish budget that my best option is 8 years old monitor from Apple.

Aside from thick bezel the design is superb. Display is super crisp, it even come with decent camera and speaker.

I have two 24“ Cinema Displays from 2010 in use and they are still amazing. Bright, great colors. Only 1920x1200 but work like 14 years ago.

I have two displays daisy chained. Amazed at quality of build and images, especially for the age. Awesome gear.

I have an old dell 1680 x 1050 display from before I was born. it's solid, has no dead pixels and has decent color. definitely not the best but being a hand-me-down from my dad it's perfect

These older apple displays are pretty well built, I’m still using the Apple Cinema HD display from 2004 and have no complaints. 1920x1200 is just a resolution that I can’t find at a reasonable price these days, and I definitely don’t want to downgrade to 16:9

On Black Friday this year, I found this monitor in the dumpster at my work. It still works incredibly enough.

I bought a second hand on FB market for my MBA M2. Although it is a little bit dark( only 300 nit), but this is the best for those want a monitor which perfect fit for your apple products but no budget for a Studio Display.

Actually, if you go to your local hardware store or electronic store and get heat shrink rap. You can actually fix that cable. It's very common for that cable to actually deteriorate like that. Due to the rubber coating, the apple put on the cable. But you can bulletproof the cable by simply as pie
