I am so happy I just saw this. I’ll be replacing the filter and will be adding a whole bottle of Lucas, and I was thinking about the nightmare it’ll be to pump it in using a handheld oil pump. This is genius.

Great Tip, my 6L80E Doesn’t have a dipstick and you have to pump it through a fill hole where a dipstick would have been. Next time I will try this.

If you can't pull the pan get a harbor freight transfer pump for like 6$. Pull the bottle amount out into a water bottle or 2 add the Lucas back with the pump through the tube it works better than the funnel for sure

I mix it with the proper transmission fluid in the transmission fluid container or Lucas transmission additive bottle even if I add some of the transmission fluid to vehicle first to make room to mix Lucas transmission additive. It makes it easy to pour down the dip stick tube! Even if it's a 50/50 mix in a quart container. The fluid warmer does help also. P.S. Don't overfill though.

For the Lucas I just throw it under the hood somewhere it wont catch fire and go for a drive so it heats up the bottle. Flows better when its warm

That's fine in a shop. Not so easy with a vechile on ramps or jacked on your garage floor bit it's a good point.

If you use the dipstick and funnel just heat the bottle up in warm water first then it runs right out

The easiest and best way to do this is literally dump all your regular ATF into a pouring bottle like you would do with engine oil and then dump the Lucas on top of it and use a stick to mix it up and then pour it right down the dipstick tube it will pour completely fine because it's already mixed with the regular ATF.

Just leave on top of the engine after you shot it off and by the time u have the pan off it will be warm and pour faster. You can also full a bucket with warm water amd leave inside while u take the pan off...

I pour a half quart in the transmission and pour the Lucas in the quart bottle and put another quart in the Lucas container to get all the Lucas

What is the most important thing of this Lucas? More important that it cleans all the stuck valves or more important that it's very thick and makes the whole ATF thicker, which makes AT to easier doing its job? I mean, if the ATF is pure clean and nothing stuck inside, does it make sense to put a bottle of Lucas anyways?

It’s funny, every mechanic says don’t use it, because it may solve problem, but then your stuck with it & it doesn’t know when to quit. & yet no one on YouTube says that.. quite the cunundrum, can’t tell who right or wrong👋😑
