"I've been playing a lot of Satisfactory."

Said the engineer, to the surprise of absolutely nobody.

To be honest this video is the BIGGEST Unintended (Or maybe it is) Marketing play that you ever did, to see an employee of that creativity and craftsmanship, THAT YOU KNOW TEHY WORKED ON THE PRODUCT, Just makes me want to buy one, cause I know fully that it was designed by an actual handyman.

PLUS : The big screwdriver paid off here.

6:25 allowing your machinist to use their machine for their own things cost machine time sure, but allowing your machinist to know and learn their machine doing things THEY want will yield a VERY skilled and HAPPY machine operator/programmer. Glad linus gets it. smart guy

The solution of the "CPU-style" corner is honestly so sick!

Luke floated the idea of doing some engineering videos and while I understand that it takes more time to complete projects while filming I would love to see engineers like Sebastien hosting videos

The way you know Sebastien is an experienced designer (I mean apart from the stunning apartment) is the utter glee with which he spends his boss' money.

good to know LTT has the 2 kinds of engineers: hoarders, and minimalists. a necessary balance

this is literally the best tech upgrade episode ive seen, this dude deserves his own channel or atleast to have a segment in LTT

I'm an engineer, watching this video at a desk I designed, on a PC I upgraded from a R5 3600 to a 5800X3D, after playing some Satisfactory (and neglecting my unfinished projects).. I finally feel 100% represented on LTT. 🤣

6:00 ”It gets functional, and then you don't touch the project for a few years, and then you finish it.” Me and my ADHD feel so seen 😂

“Ah yes temporary, the most permanent form of -ary” is a damn good conclusion to come to.

Within a few minutes of showing off his home, its evident how much talent Sebastien brings to LMG. There are truly some brilliant minds in your business!

Pretty sure we could have figured out he's an engineer without any audio on this one lol. Linus, seriously, more engineer videos pls.

In last week's WAN show, Luke suggested the value of videos showing the engineering and workshop process. Great idea, and this makes me want to see that type of content even more! Terrific upgrade, and beautiful home.

I'm a mechanical engineer working in product development and industrial solutions and this video is simply awesome. I really identify with the mindset of Sebastian, he understands how to take the product to that next level when you can spend a bit more in materials and treatments, like the fact he chamfered that bit of aluminium and anodized and it just sits underneath the table.
Sometimes I wish I'd work for LTT just for how much he focuses and values quality over simply functional, that is definitely my brand of engineering.

Sebastian is one of the coolest people to get an upgrade. You have to admire people who can "make stuff". And I mean properly make stuff. Not what us Brits would call "a bit Heath Robinson." The chair legs and the table tops etc. That's a guy who puts in the work to make stuff nice. Congrats on the upgrade!

he didn't steal much from the office, but he did contribute to the $6000 giant LTT screwdrivers. lol.

idk if you’ll ever see this but 3:00 for the silicone bit holders I actually really do like that idea. it’s light weight and you could have multiple and easily make a keychain attachment, although i think it would be more beneficial in construction, more specifically for drill bits rather than a screwdriver kit.

This man is like the coolest guy Ive ever seen. I mean That level of engineering and just being completly for it off and on work is just admirable.
Even Linus seemed to get from "you stole machining time/material from work" to thats so cool".
My favourite episode of tech upgrades yet tbh
