Data is completely effected by the 3080Ti used in the testing. Gaming performance would be even better on the 5800X3D with a 3090 or a 6950XT! HUB reviews were better.

Too bad the extra cache in the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has no effect on Linux.

Ryzen 9 5900x is $200 used, it's worth it over 5700x3d

the gaming difference is negligible until you own a bank breaking dgpu- budget cards wont be able to out demand regular cpu's. the larger core counts at least give a real time improvement on multicore tasks if you got a cheaper card, don't intend to ever spend much more than 300 bucks on your next dgpu and happen to come across a 5900x dirt cheap.

Great video as always! I tend to keep my cpus much longer than I used to (especially in this economy/2500k oc'd for almost 10 yrs). I'm thinking I can last quite awhile longer with my 5600X and then go with the 5900X (game @ 1080p) (I always consider after so many years how games start requiring more cores...though 8 cores will probably be fine for another 5 years).

5800x3d is not worth 320 euros!
5900x is going under 200 soon but the x3d is still very expensive for some reason
in half of the tasks 5900x beats x3d because of more cores so the pc will be faster in general
bdw i have ryzen 3600 right now and i will need upgrade in future
