John 8:30-47 Jesus is talking about believing in him - faith in him.
Mark 9;42-47, again Jesus is talking believing in him.
Luke 18:9-14, is about works, as opposed to true repentance.
James 2:24, James is chastising the church where they are clearly not walking and acting in the Holy Spirit. Rather, by their behaviour, were trampling on the grace of God qhich had received, which led to James' rebuke, faith without works is dead. Because they proclaimed they had faith in Christ, yet acted as though they didn't. The outworking of faith produces the fruit of Spirit, which is good works. By the grace of God may we walk in the Holy Spirit producing the fruit of the Spirit, as we put to death the deeds of the flesh. Cheers

Context is KING when it comes to interpreting any text. Violating context leads to *false* understanding of Jesus’s teachings. Always.
The interpretations provided in this video are very often out of the context of *time* or *subject* or *the audience* and sometimes even all three combined.
Example: when Jesus is speaking about forgiveness or being His disciple in the book of John, His words are *pre-Crucifixion* when He had not paid for our sins yet!!! Within that context of time salvation could not be by faith in His sacrifice YET, but if you read the scriptures about salvation and justification AFTER Christ completed His saving work on the cross; then, in the post-Crucifixion timing context the concept of Salvation by Faith alone becomes the proper interpretation.
Conclusion: salvation is by faith alone, until you interpret the words of Jesus out of their context.
